Abstract

Preparation of "HUMAN DEVELOPMENT INDEX IN BATAM MUNICIPALITY 2018", is one of the final obligations of BPS-Statistics of Batam Municipality which must be made to complete the collection of publications on the Integrated Statistics Service of BPS-Statistics of Batam Municipality. This activity is intended to compile the 2018 Human Development Index figures which will be used as a basis for evaluating the successful implementation of human resource development, mainly related to health, education, and economic conditions as seen from the purchasing power of the population. This publication contains an explanation of several aspects relating to HDI and the results of the Batam Municipality HDI calculation and its components, as well as a comparison with other regencies/cities in the Riau Islands Province.
